Features

User Roles and Work Assignment

Easy WMS is composed of many assignment types. Users will be given access to assignments based on his or her specific role in the warehouse. New assignments are then prioritized and presented as a queue in the interface. Users then accept assignments in priority order and perform them.

User Roles and Permissions

Easy WMS allows you to set up which transaction types are allowed to be used by which users. You can also set up rules, such as the maximum amount a user is allowed to adjust, or required reason codes for a transaction.

Work Areas

Easy WMS works with “zones,” which is normally a collection of bins. One or more zones makes for a “work area.” Users can be assigned to one or more work areas. When signing in, a user will choose a work area and only see assignments from these bins.

Receiving Goods

Efficiently receive goods with Easy WMS using tools that allow you to bring in items with purchase orders into the system. You can record missing delivery notes or damaged items, as well as automatically assign the user to place the goods on the proper bin after receiving is done. Easy WMS also supports any report and label printing application you have in place to handle the printing of labels at delivery. It is fully integrated out of the box the box with our add-on application, Jeeves 2 Label II.

Placement Assignments

Receiving can be done directly or via a placement area. From this area, the system will calculate and suggest the best possible bin according to your settings. You can manage the assignments by scanning items, batch and/ or serial numbers, and then scanning their final destination.

Replenishment

Easy WMS comes with a booking logic for manufacturing orders. A production unit will be assigned a bin where material can be booked. If this is not possible, you can create transfer assignments from the warehouse to replenish production. With Easy WMS you also can create minimum and maximum quantity levels for either production or picking bins. When the bin’s contents go beneath the minimum threshold, an assignment will automatically be created to replenish the bin. We also have a Kanban function, where you can scan a card to create assignments.

Finished Goods Transfer

When manufactured items are placed in a production zone, either as an automatic job or after pushing a button on the work order, an assignment is then created to move the item to the proper workstation or warehouse. Finished goods can be either make-to-stock or order-unique. Order unique products are typically moved into a finished goods area, and make-to-stock products to the warehouse.

Shipment Planning

Orders can be planned by selecting one or more rows to be picked in Easy WMS.

Order Picking

When orders are booked and free to be released for picking, they will show up in the new assignments queue. A user can then add one or more orders to his or her picking list and start picking. Settings allow the user to pick into a package, or create packages after the picking is done.

Close Order

When the user has finished picking the order, he or she is navigated to the dispatch function in Easy WMS. Here, details can be changed, such as packages, weights, or extra costs. Users also can print out labels and reports or release the order to accounts receivable.

Order Entry

Whether they are out in the field or working in your stores, users can create and modify customer orders using Easy WMS. A picked balance is moved to a unique bin, and later, booked out when the order is finalized.

Loading

When picking orders into packages, Easy WMS can be used to load the packages onto a shipment. Users can even set up routes, so that the closest customers get loaded last or vice versa. When the loading is done, an email conformation can be sent.

Counting

The inventory journal allows you to create benchmarks for each item, including its inventory location, associated bins, and bin quantity. The inventory journal also shows quantities for items counted and not counted, and displays those results directly in the interface. Easy WMS also supports zero counts when picking or transferring items, as well as logic tests and other rules for counting on the spot. Adding Jeeves’ Cycle Count application will provide an even more robust feature set for achieving inventory accuracy.

Manual Transfers

Easy WMS has three different types of manual transfers. You can either move an item directly from A to B, or you can make it a two-step transfer by first picking an item, and then placing it in your assignment queue to be unloaded to a final location. The latter scenario is ideal for managing long distances or picking many items at once. The third option allows you to move multiple items from A to B by selecting one or more items from a list. This scenario is ideal if you are planning to transfer many items (e.g., a pallet).

Labels and Reports

Easy WMS will work with any report and label printing application you have in place today. Otherwise, Easy WMS integrates with the robust feature set for label and report creation in the “Jeeves 2 Label II” application. In this app, you can manage label and reports as well as the printers being used to create them. The application also allows you to embed alerts and triggers for process outliers.
